PROCESS

To enter the field of security industry people have the option of either entering through BST training(basic security training) through an approved school or join via AST (advanced security training). To become eligible for any of the positions under these profiles, people have to undergo a basic training course for 40 hours. These training courses are offered by a large number of coaching institutes in Surrey. After completing the course the aspirant has to appear for an exam and score a minimum score  as decided by the regulatory authority

If they are successful in getting the minimum score then they can proceed with the further steps of submission of their fingerprints and application for a security license this process starting from the training still getting the license takes around 40 days as in 2021.
