Employers sometimes ask people applying for jobs for personal information, such as their hobbies and interests and whether they are married or single. Some people say that this information may be relevant and useful but others disagree.
Discuss both the views and give your opinion.
There are split opinions regarding employees private information, like their hobbies, interests and marital status. Some believe that this information may be effective and necessary. Whereas, another group of thinkers are disagree. However, both has it’s own pros and cons. Therefore, before commenting on my decision, both the opinion would be discussed.
To begin with, there are several factors that make people believe that own information is relevant and useful to mansion. Firstly, employers can knows about employees personal status. hence, according to details they can provide some facilities. Such as, family quarters, health insurance for spouse and many others benefits. Secondly, employers have fundamental rights for having details regarding their background. Therefore, they can take appropriate decision whether employee deserving the job or not. In addition, accordingly officials hobbies and interests company organise events. For instance, musical and sports events for encouragement and enjoyment purpose. So, they can take part in competitions.
On the other hand, some group of thinkers thought that this data is irrelevant. Some people wants that their private data should not share to others people, it is worthless and there is no belonging with work. For example, some workers such as, labour workers can not take part in events. So, it is futile to provide them. Moreover, local employees need not to get some facilities like accommodation.
To conclude, and voice my opinion, considering the both debate, I certainly vote for the former group which is logically appropriate due to some specific reasons. Hence, it is relevant to provide employees own data to employers.
