China was the number one country to produce and consume the maximum amount of electricity at 5,398 and 5,322 billion kWh respectively. At 4.099 and 2,866 billion kWh, the United States held the second position to generate and use the electricity. The remaining countries lagged significantly in generation and consumption of power, with Russia taking the third rank by only producing 1,057 and consuming 1,038 billion kWh.

Statistics for rest of seven countries to generate and utilize electricity were below 1000 billion kWh. Moreover, the electricity generation and consumption descended from Japan, India, Canada, France to Brazil and showed minor differences, ranging from 936.2 to 530.7 billion kWh in output and 856.7 to 455.8 billion kWh in input.
